Aspire2 and DPS

Corporate social solidarity that changes young people's lives.

Aspire2 was set up in 2015 by DPS to support students from

four DEIS Schools in Dublin and Cork to achieve the best Leaving Cert results possible and increase the percentage of students progressing from these schools to University, Further Education and Apprenticeships. Since then the project has expanded its reach and we now have ten participating schools.

Youth Advisory Panels

Be A Part of Aspire2 in your School

Aspire2 encourages student participation in the programme. Each school has a Youth Advisory Panel. These Youth Advisory Panels are led by the students. We support you to consult with your peers to identify where Aspire2 supports are needed most. As a member you actively influence the programmes development.

Student Mentoring

Connect with experienced Mentors to be exam ready

The Aspire2 mentoring programme happens in small groups. We support students directly to identify your learning needs, develop study skills, set achievable goals and prepare for exams.

Aspire2 Alumni

Keep Connected during Third Level

Past students from the Youth Advisory Panels have stayed involved with Aspire2. These students become advocates for Aspire2 and show leadership and peer support to students currently involved in the programme. For example, in response to Covid-19, our Alumni set up a new “AweZoom Grinds Initiative”. This initiative was set up by past pupils for Leaving Cert students. The project aims to provide peer support through online grinds and mentoring support to students currently sitting their Leaving Cert.

Hear from our Alumni Chair, Gabriel O'Connor

I would highly recommend getting involved with the Aspire 2 programme if it is running in your school. From the perspective of someone who is now in college, I have to say that I miss the atmosphere of being on a Youth Advisory Panel. While being on the alumni is quite different from being on a Youth Advisory Panel I still feel as connected to the programme as I did when I was in secondary school. I have loved every moment of being involved with the Aspire 2 programme and aim to be a part of the programme for as long as I can.

I would be a very different person if I hadn't been involved in this programme. It's provided me with so many opportunities for growth and development”
